ASHLAND — Three were arrested on drug charges Thursday night after being caught with $28,000 worth of cocaine.
Deputies from the Boyd County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant around 11:30 p.m. at a home in the 900 block of Prospect Avenue. They found 280 grams of white powder cocaine and $1,000 cash.
Laurel G. Vaughn, 36, Omar P. Henry, 35, and Denise N. Carter, 28, were taken into custody.
Vaughn and Carter were charged with trafficking a controlled substance and Henry was charged with tampering. Deputies said he tried to throw the cocaine when deputies arrived.
The Kentucky State Police assisted in the drug bust.
