ASHLAND The following information was taken from Ashland Police Department reports:
Robbery
‰ A juvenile was arrested on a second-degree robbery charge Wednesday after allegedly assaulting two Walmart security officers during the course of attempting to steal merchandise.
The incident occurred about 9:05 a.m. The item the suspect allegedly tried to take, valued at $29.95, was recovered.
The report did not indicate whether the suspect was a male or female.
Under Kentucky law, anyone who uses or threatens to use force during the commission of a theft can be charged with robbery.
Assault
‰ A man and woman were arrested Wednesday night following a domestic altercation in the 3100 block of Central Avenue.
The incident occurred about 10:20 p.m. The two have a child together, and they became involved in dispute turned physical when the woman denied the man sex, police said.
The man, 41, was arrested on a misdemeanor assault charge. The woman, 30, was arrested on an unrelated failure-to-appear warrant. Both were lodged in the Boyd County Detention Center, where they remained Thursday.
Theft
‰ A man on Wednesday reported a nail gun valued at $300 was stolen from his rental property in the 4000 block of Circleview Street.
‰ A roofer on Wednesday reported roofing materials valued at $600 were stolen from a job site in the 2700 block of Lexington Avenue.
