Pill found in fast-food salad
GRAYSON - An unidentified pill was found inside a salad from Wendy’s in Grayson on Friday, according to the Journal-Times.
Witnesses said an order was placed at the drive-through window for the staff of a local business at lunch time. When one of the salads was opened, a woman found a pill inside.
Police were on the scene Friday afternoon, but no other information was available.
Olive Hill council sets meeting
OLIVEāHILL - The Olive Hill City Council will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Olive Hill Senior Center.
Boyd library to show ‘Ice Age’
CANNONSBURG - The Boyd County Public Library will have a free showing of “Ice Age: Continental Drift” at 2 p.m. Jan. 20 at the Kyova branch in the Kyova Mall.
Some refreshments will be provided; additional snacks may be purchased.
Special Boyd meeting Tuesday
CANNONSBURG - The Boyd County Board of Education will have a special meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday at district offices at 1104 Bob McCullough Drive.
The board will discuss hiring a representative from the Kentucky School Boards Association for superintendent selection search services, and to approve a contract for the assignment of personnel between the Kentucky Educational Development Corp. and the district.
Carter library friends to meet
GRAYSON - The annual meeting of the Friends of the Carter County Public Library will be Jan. 23 at the library’s Olive Hill branch.
There will be a reception at 6 p.m.; new officers will be elected at 7 p.m.
