Sandy Hook — Kentucky State Police are investigating the death of a man whose body was found under a burning vehicle on an Elliott County roadside Sunday.
The KSP’s Morehead post said it was notified of the blaze at 10:35 a.m. by the Elliott County Sheriff’s Department. The vehicle was off Ky. 504, with the man’s badly burned body partially underneath, the KSP said.
Identification of the victim is pending, the KSP said. The victim’s body was taken to the state Medical Examiner’s Office in Frankfort for an autopsy.
The case is being investigated by Detective Toby Gardner.
