Russell woman killed in accident

ASHLAND —

A Greenup County woman was killed in a wreck in Floyd County last week, state police said in a news release issued Monday.

Linda Stambaugh, 64, of Russell, was trying to make a U-turn on Ky. 3. When she re-entered the westbound lane, her car was hit by a 1993 Jeep Cherokee, state police said.

Stambaugh was pronounced dead at the scene. The wreck happened Nov. 15, according to the release.

No information was provided on the driver of the Jeep.
