Carter grand jury hands down 25 indictments

GRAYSON — A Carter County grand jury recently handed down 25 indictments; 21 are related to illegal drug activity.

Testimony from FIVCO Area Drug Enforcement officers led to the indictments. A spokesman with FADE said more indictments are expected.

Kimberly Matthews, 37, of Grayson, was indicted on one count of trafficking in a Schedule II controlled substance by selling 13 dosage units of oxycodone between December and January, a class C felony.

A separate indictment was also handed down on Matthews. In it, she was indicted on two counts of knowingly and unlawfully selling a counterfeit substance on April 12 and 13. Both are Class D felonies.

Also indicted were:

‰Mitchell Layne, 50, of Olive Hill, one count of first-degree trafficking in a Schedule II controlled substance by allegedly selling 11 dosage units of oxycodone between April and October 2011, a class C felony.

‰Bonnie Barber, 27, of Grayson, on one count of trafficking in a Schedule II controlled substance by selling four dosing units of dilaudid, a Class D felony.

‰Anthony Light, 41, of Grayson, one count of trafficking in a Schedule II controlled substance by selling seven dosage units of oxycodone, a Class D felony.

‰Linda Cummings, 43, of Grayson, one count of trafficking in a Schedule II controlled substance by selling 15 dosing units of oxycodone between March 3 and 9, a Class C felony.

‰Stephanie Moore, 21, Grayson, one count of trafficking in a Schedule II controlled substance by selling 10 dosing units of oxycodone between Oct. 7 and 24, a Class C felony.

‰Jason Dixon, 31, of Hitchins, one count of trafficking in a Schedule II controlled substance by selling 10 dosing units of oxycodone between Jan. 24 and Feb. 24, a Class C felony.

‰Jonathan Huffman, 32, of Denton, one count of trafficking in a Schedule II controlled substance by selling two dosing units of oxycodone, a Class D felony.

‰Timothy Barber, 48, of Grayson, one count of trafficking in a Schedule II controlled substance by selling two dosage units of dilaudid, a Class D felony.

‰Terry Blevins, 49, of Grayson, one count of trafficking in a Schedule II controlled substance by selling four dosing units of oxycodone, a Class D felony.

‰Gwen Greer, 60, of Grayson, one count of trafficking in a Schedule II controlled substance by selling one dosing unit of oxycodone, a Class D felony.

‰Shane Thorton, 32, of Olive Hill, one count of trafficking in a Schedule II controlled substance by selling two dosing units of oxycodone, a Class D felony.

‰Robin Ingram, 24, of Grayson, one count of trafficking in a Schedule II controlled substance by selling three dosing units of oxycodone, a Class D felony.

‰Kalo Price, 29, of Grayson, one count of committing prohibited acts related to a controlled substance and unlawfully selling a counterfeit substance, a Class D felony.

‰Raymond Sean Evans, 27, of Grayson, two counts of trafficking in a Schedule II controlled substance by selling four dosing units of oxycodone in March 2011 and two dosing units of oxycodone on March 29, 2012. Both are Class D felonies.

‰Steven Harper, 45, of Grayson, two counts of trafficking in a Schedule II controlled substance by selling five dosing units of oxycodone on Dec. 9, and half a dosing unit of oxycodone on March 9. Both are class D felonies.

‰Allison Cains Eldridge, 36, of Grayson, two counts of trafficking in a Schedule II controlled substance by selling four dosing units of oxycodone on Dec. 9, and two dosing units of oxycodone on Dec. 8. Both are class D felonies.

‰Linda Clark, 33, of Olive Hill, two counts of trafficking in a Schedule II controlled substance by selling four dosing units of oxycodone on Nov. 25 and four more dosing units of oxycodone on Nov. 25. Both are Class D felonies.

‰Belva Cremeans, 52, of Grayson, two counts of trafficking in a Schedule II controlled substance by selling 11 dosing units of oxycodone between Jan. 3 and 24, and 10 dosing units of oxycodone between Nov. 3 and 15. Both are Class C felonies.

‰Timothy Lawhorn, 30, of Olive Hill, one count of second- degree assault, when he allegedly struck a woman with a picture frame, causing head trauma, and cutting the same woman with a knife, a Class C felony. Lawhorn also was indicted on one count of second-degree fleeing or evading, a Class A misdemeanor.

‰Kalo Price, 29, of Grayson, also was indicted on one count of theft by unlawful taking by taking a Ford F-250 truck owned by someone else, a Class D felony.

‰Randall Carroll, 32, and Jarred Fryer, 25, both of Rush, were indicted on one count of manufacturing methamphetamine by possessing equipment to manufacture methamphetamine with the intent to do so, a Class B felony.

Charges outlined in an indictment don’t presume guilt or innocence.
