Mobile meth lab busted
GREENUP - Greenup County Sheriff Keith M. Cooper reported deputies Cody Fuller and Matt Smith last week arrested two after discovering a mobile meth lab while responding to a report of a theft in progress.
The deputies were dispatched to Culp Creek Road on June 27, where they found a mobile methamphetamine lab directly outside a vehicle, along with evidence of the production of the lab inside the vehicle.
Nick Kintigos of Culp Creek and Melissa Gillum of Ky. 2 were charged with felony manufacturing methamphetamine and tampering with physical evidence. Both were booked and lodged at the Greenup County Detention Center, according to Cooper.
AARP driver course offered
ASHLAND - A driver safety course will be offered by AARP from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. July 26 at Calvary Episcopal Church, 1337 Winchester Ave.
At the completion of the course, drivers will qualify for insurance discounts if applicable by their insurance companies.
The fee is $14 for non-AARP members and $12 for members. Space is limited and registration may be made by calling Martha Cooke at (606) 232-9334.

APD investigating impersonation case

A juvenile female told police that a juvenile male dressed like a police officer approached her and stated he was working under the authority of the Ashland Police Department and had a warrant for her arrest.
