CATLETTSBURG — An escape attempt by three inmates of the Boyd County Dention Center was thwarted on Friday.
The three inmates — Richard Pauley Jr., Timothy Tussey and Bradford Cordle, all of Ashland — have been charged with attempting to escape second degree and criminal mischief second degree.
Jailer Joe Burchett discovered an attempt was in the works.
The three tried to penetrate the roof of the detention center. When the attempt was discovered, assistance in the investigation was provided by the Catlettsburg police.
