Elliott woman killed in wreck
MOREHEAD - An Elliott County woman was killed Tuesday in a one-car accident on Ky. 32 near Morehead.
Charli Wright, 26, of Sandy Hook, was pronounced dead at St. Claire Regional Medical Center following the accident just before 2 p.m., Kentucky State Police at Ashland said.
Wright was westbound in a 2000 Chevrolet Tahoe when she lost control, the KSP said. The vehicle went off the right-hand side of the road, hit a rock embankment and overturned. Wright, who wasn’t wearing a seat belt, was ejected.
AARF seeks supply donations
RUSSELL - The Ashland Animal Rescue Fund will have a supply drive from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Tractor Supply.
The organization is seeking donations of Purina dog, cat, puppy and kitten chow, paper towels, cloth wipes, dog treats, leashes, hand sanitizer laundry detergent and gently used linens.
