Restaurants will donate to AARF
ASHLAND - Four Subway restaurant locations will donate 20 percent of their sales to the Ashland Animal Rescue Fund on Saturday.
Participating Subways are Cannonsburg Walmart, South Shore, Grayson and Olive Hill.
Adoption event set at Kyova
SUMMIT - For Jamie’s Sake will celebrate National Adoption Awareness Month and National Adoption Day on Saturday by hosting events in the Kyova Mall Community Room.
There will be an adoption information fair from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday with agencies from across the state ready to answer questions about foster care adoption, domestic adoption and international adoption.
Those touched by adoption are encouraged to share their stories at Adoption Blessing Time at 4 p.m.
White ballons will be released in honor of familes created by adoption and children waiting to be adopted.

APD investigating impersonation case
Police are investigating a reported incident of a juvenile impersonating a peace officer, which occurred on Monday just before 7 p.m. at a public place in the 700 block of Central Avenue. A juvenile female told police that a juvenile male dressed like a police officer approached her and stated he was working under the authority of the Ashland Police Department and had a warrant for her arrest.
