IRONVILLE —
Boyd County sheriff’s deputies on Sunday arrested three for allegedly operating a methamphetamine lab in an abandoned building in the Ironville area.
Willard R. Hunt, 28, of Greenup; Jason Fowler, 33, of Rush; and Tina G. Farr, 35, of Ashland, all were charged with manufacturing meth. Hunt also was charged with fleeing and evading police, and was served with six outstanding warrants, the sheriff’s department said.
According to a news release from the sheriff’s department, deputies responded to a report of suspicious people around an abandoned building on Roberson Drive around 11 p.m. Sunday. Two of the suspects, later identified as Hunt and Farr, fled on foot.
Upon investigation, deputies found a portable meth lab behind the building, which they were able to link to the three suspects.
Fowler was arrested at the scene. Hunt and Farr were later found hiding in a residence near the abandoned building.
All three suspects were lodged in the Boyd County Detention Center. Hunt and Farr remained in custody on Wednesday, according to the jail’s website.
