Five arrested for selling prescription drugs

GREENUP — Five people from four different states were arrested and face charges related to selling prescription drugs in Greenup County on Saturday.

Tips from concerned citizens led to the arrests, according to authorities.

The Greenup County Sheriff’s Department and Worthington Police Department made two separate busts, including one during an undercover drug buy and the other following a brief police pursuit.

Arrested were Rebecca Johnson and Devin Rice of West Virginia, Grethel Hooper of North Carolina, Allen Flemming of Ohio and Tammy Waller of Kentucky.

Oxycodone was the most prominent drug found, police said.
