ASHLAND — The following information was taken from Ashland Police Department reports:
Burglary
-A man living in the 100 block of Carriage Gate Road reported Thursday that someone broke into his home and made off with $30,000 cash.
-A woman living in the 2600 block of Lincoln Avenue reported Wednesday that tools and other items, all valued at $2,250, were stolen in a break-in at her home.
Theft
-A man living in the 2400 block of Arthur Street on Wednesday reported the theft of an unspecified item valued at $500.
-A woman living in Hillcrest Apartments on Wednesday reported the theft of jewelry valued at $850.
-A Catlettsburg woman reported Wednesday that her purse was stolen at a location in the 300 block of 19th Street.
-An Ironton woman reported Wednesday that her purse was stolen from her vehicle while it was parked in the 1500 block of Winchester Avenue.
-A Wurtland woman reported Wednesday that jewelry valued at $1,200 was stolen from her at a residence in the 4800 block of Acorn Street.
-A woman living in the 2800 block of Beech Street reported Wednesday that her vehicle, valued at $3,000, had been stolen. It was later recovered.
-A Greenup woman reported Tuesday that someone broke into her vehicle while it was parked on the Ashland Community and Technical College campus and stole various items.
Shoplifting
-A Ruskin, Fla., man was arrested Thursday for allegedly trying to shoplift items valued at $43.80 from Wal-Mart.
-Wal-Mart security on Tuesday reported the theft of computer equipment valued at $698 from the store.
