Bloodmobile to be in Ashland Friday
ASHLAND - The Red Cross Bloodmobile will be at the Central Fire Station at Carter Avenue and 11th Street from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday.
While there is a need for all types of blood, there is an ongoing high demand for O negative, A negative and B negative donors, said Vicki James, executive director of the Boyd County Red Cross Chapter.
“We are in a critical need for blood donations which have decreased during the summer months,” James said.
Blood drives are also scheduled this month at King’s Daughters Medical Center Occupational Therapy Center (the former Claude Fannin Wholesale building on Central Avenue) from noon to 6 p.m. Nov. 16, at KDMC from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 18 and at Ashland Community and Technical College from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 24.
The Red Cross schedules donation appointments for the KDMC Occupational Center blood drive.
