Grief group sets program

Local briefs

King’s Daughters Pastoral Care Department is offering “Making it Through the Holidays,” a grief support group, beginning Nov. 15, from 2 to 4 p.m., in the KDMC Health Education Center.

“Thanksgiving and Christmas can be times of great anticipation, activity and joy. However, when someone has experienced the loss of a loved one, the holiday season can be a terribly difficult and lonely time,” said the Rev. Duncan said the group helps participants better cope with their loss in an atmosphere of comfort and reassurance.

The dates of the support group (meetings are at the KDMC Health Education Center) are:

- Nov. 15, from 2 to 4 p.m.

- Nov. 22, from 2 to 4 p.m.

- Nov. 29, from 2 to 4 p.m.

-Dec. 6, from 2 to 4 p.m.
