Catlettsburg — Local election filings continue to trickle in for a range of 2010 races.
Candidates could begin filing their official paperwork to seek election next year last Wednesday. The filing deadline for primary races is 4 p.m. Jan. 26. The 2010 primary will be May 18.
For Independent candidates, school board races, some city races and any other race that does not require a primary, candidates must file a statement of candidacy by April 1. Candidates must file their petition for general election ballot access by 4 p.m. Aug. 10.
