Ashland — The following information was taken from Ashland Police Department reports:
Forgery
-Police on Thursday arrested an Ashland woman for allegedly trying to pass $250 in bogus bills at a local pawn shop.
Carol D. Stamper, of the 1000 block of South Forty Road, was arrested at Tri-State Pawn & Jewelry, 4250 Winchester Ave. She was lodged in the Boyd County Detention Center on a charge of criminal possession of a forged instrument.
Identity theft
-Rebecca J. Sullivan, 39, of Westwood, was arrested Wednesday by the APD on a felony charge of identity theft.
Sullivan was arrested following a traffic stop in the 5200 block of Winchester Avenue. She was also charged with driving under the influence.
The victim of the identity theft was a Raceland woman, according to records.
Theft
-A Grayson man reported Thursday that someone stole an unspecified item from him in the 900 block of Blackburn Avenue.
-A man living in the 1600 block of Ray Street reported Thursday that someone stole tools from his vehicle valued at $475.
-A South Point man reported Wednesday that someone broke into his car while it was parked at Texas Roadhouse and stole tools valued at $326.
-A man living in the 1700 block of Miller Street on Wednesday reported the theft of an unspecified item valued at $400.
-A man living in the 4100 block of Vernon Street reported Tuesday that an unspecified item valued at $130 had been stolen from his vehicle.
-Bob Evans, 1224 Carter Ave., on Tuesday reported the theft of $1,382 cash.
-An Ashland man reported Monday that an unspecified item valued at $1,662 was stolen from him in the 2700 block of Greenup Avenue.
Burglary
-A man living in the 3100 block of Bath Avenue reported Tuesday that tools valued at $100 were stolen in a break-in at his residence.
Shoplifting
-Lids in the Ashland Town Center on Thursday reported the theft of merchandise valued at $41.98. One of the stolen items, valued at $16.99, was later recovered.
-An Ashland man was arrested Thursday for allegedly trying to steal merchandise valued at $112 from Belk.
-An Ashland man was arrested Wednesday at Wal-Mart for allegedly trying to steal merchandise valued at $12.
