COALTON — A portion of Interstate 64 was closed after a tractor-trailer accident.
The driver, Oda Howard, 44, was injured in the accident when his tractor-trailer, which was carrying gravel, blew a tire around 3:50 p.m. Tuesday, according to Deputy Jesse Delaney with the Boyd County Sheriff's Department. The driver was transported by helicopter to St. Mary's Medical Center where his condition was unavailable early Tuesday evening.
The eastbound lanes of the interstate are closed at the 185-mile marker and drivers are given a detour option.
