ASHLAND — Ashland police on Tuesday arrested 11 suspects charged as the result of an eight-month investigation into illegal drug activity.
All 11 had been indicted by a Boyd County grand jury, according to a news release from the Ashland Police Department.
One of those targeted during the roundup couldn’t be located and is believed to have left the region, the APD said.
The investigation leading to the indictments and arrests was conducted by the APD’s Criminal Investigations Section.
All of the suspects were lodged in the Boyd County Detention Center and all remained in custody on Wednesday, according to the jail’s Web site. All also listed Ashland addresses.
Arrested were:
‰Richard Layne, 52, charged with first-degree drug trafficking.
‰Ronita Butler, 24, charged with first-degree drug trafficking and third-degree drug possession.
‰Jamond Buford, 26, charged with first-degree drug trafficking.
‰Linda Layne, 50, charged with first-degree drug trafficking and persistent felony offender.
‰Reecola Butler, 19, charged with first- and second-degree drug trafficking and possession of marijuana.
‰Bonita Butler, 45, charged with three counts of first-degree drug trafficking and with persistent felony offender.
‰Isaac Olige, 32, charged with first-degree drug trafficking.
‰Jack Ruggles, 50, charged with first- and second-degree drug trafficking.
‰Larry Davis, 48, charged with two counts of first-degree drug trafficking and one count of second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument.
‰Ricky Ingram, 46, charged with first- and second-degree drug trafficking.
‰Demetrius Butler, 39, charged with one count of first-degree drug trafficking.
