Rummage sale will be Saturday
ASHLAND - The Kentucky Mu Master Chapter of Beta Sigma Phil will have its 15th annual charity rummage sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday in the First United Methodist Church activity building, 1811 Carter Ave.
A variety of items will be for sale, including household goods, toys, clothing, small appliances and books.
ACT Test Cram set for Saturday
ASHLAND - ACT Test Cram will be from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday at the main branch of the Boyd County Public Library.
A room will be available to study with peers and the library has new ACT study guides. Online exam preps are also available at Learning Library Express.
Georgetown signs KCTCS agreement
GEORGETOWN - Transferring to a four-year institution became easier for Kentucky Community and Technical College System students Tuesday with the signing of a statewide, multiprogram agreement with Georgetown College.
The agreement includes a statewide memorandum of agreement for associate in arts degrees to transfer to bachelor’s programs at Georgetown. Programs include art, business administration, communication and media studies, economics, English, exercise science, health science, history, mathematics, philosophy, political science, psychology, sociology, Spanish, theater and religion.
