The following information was taken from Ashland Police Department reports:
Theft
‰Burger King, 1240 Winchester Ave., last week reported the theft of $2,312.86 from its daily deposits for Sept. 4 and 5.
‰A woman on Thursday reported her wallet was stolen from her unattended purse at a location in the 1500 block of Winchester Avenue.
Stalking
‰A woman on Thursday reported a man had slapped her in the face and made threats to seriously injure her. The incident occurred in the parking lot of Pathways, 201 22nd St.
Criminal trespass
‰A 26-year-old Ashland man was arrested Thursday on a charge of first-degree criminal trespassing after he was reported to be in the parking of the Bluegrass Inn, highly intoxicated and attempting to drive off. The man also was served with outstanding warrants charging him with DUI and an additional count of criminal trespassing.
Shoplifting, assault
‰A store security officer at Walmart was pushed to the ground Wednesday by a male shoplifter fleeing the store with merchandise valued at $19.97.
Shoplifting
‰A 46-year-old Ashland man was arrested Thursday at Walmart for allegedly attempting to steal items valued at $89.95.
‰Family Dollar, 1311 Blackburn ave., on Thursday reported a man tried to make off with merchandise valued at $23.50, but dropped the stolen goods as he fled the scene.

Not guilty plea in death of Boyd baby
A Powell County teenager accused in the beating death of an infant pleaded not guilty to the charge Friday.
Brett T. Thompson, 18, of Stanton was arraigned Friday in Boyd County Court.
Thompson has been indicted in the death of 2-month-old Alivia Noel Worstell of Westwood. He was the boyfriend of the baby’s mother, Heather Worstell, 19. -
