The following information was taken from Ashland Police Department reports:
Theft
‰A resident of the 800 block of Ashland Avenue reported his Rolex watch stolen and said his foster son took it when he ran away. The watch was valued at $1,000.
‰A resident of the 2600 block of Lynnwood Avenue reported the theft of the stereo from his car during the night. The stereo was valued at $50.
‰A resident of the 1300 block of Beech Street reported the theft of $120 in cash from her home. Police have a suspect.
‰A resident of the 1400 block of Fairfax Drive reported a man agreed to do roofing work for him and stole a $2,700 down payment for materials.
‰Walmart reported a woman stole $92 worth of merchandise.
‰The Shell Food Mart on Greenup Avenue reported a woman stole a bag of tobacco and her husband stopped employees from preventing the theft.
‰A resident of the 3200 block of Park Street reported the theft of a BMX bicycle worth $80.
Fleeing
‰Police arrested a man in the 1600 block of Greenup Avenue on driving under the influence and fleeing charges after he ran away from police during a traffic stop.
Burglary
‰Police arrested an Ashland woman on burglary and drug charges after she allegedly broke into a Boyd Street residence. The woman had drugs when she was arrested.
Forgery
‰The Ashland Gas Mart on Winchester Avenue reported a man tried to cash a stolen forged check. The check was one of nine stolen business starter checks from a Peoples Bank account. Police have a suspect.
‰A resident of the 1100 block of Stella Drive reported her checkbook and debit card stolen and said her boyfriend stole it and gave the checks to another woman to cash.
Drug possession
‰Police arrested an Ashland man on drug possession and driving under the influence charges after a traffic stop. Police saw a syringe of OxyContin when they stopped the car.
