Queen, king to be crowned at MSU
MOREHEAD - Morehead State University will crown its 2012 Homecoming queen and king during halftime ceremonies of the football game at 1 p.m. Saturday in Jayne Stadium.
The winners will be named from the five candidates competing for each title
Nominees for queen are:
‰Susan Ahmadi of Morehead, daughter Ali and Dora Ahmadi. The senior Spanish and prelaw major is sponsored by Kappa Delta.
‰Autumn Baker of Bethel, Ohio, daughter of Duke and Tammy Baker. The senior government major is sponsored by Delta Chi Xi.
‰Shayna LaRae Birchfield of Olive Hill, daughter of Eddie and Falissa Birchfield. The senior exercise science/prephysical therapy major is sponsored by Chi Omega.
‰Alison Ishmael of Springboro, Ohio, daughter of Roger and Terri Ishmael. The junior early elementary P-5 education major is sponsored by Pi Kappa Phi.
‰Jerica Kelso of Louisville, daughter of Eric and Jackie Kelso. The senior accounting major is sponsored by the Student Programming Board.

Pet adoption event Saturday
RUSSELL - The Ashland Animal Rescue Fund will have an event from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Tractor Supply.
Animals will be available for adoption and AARF items will be for sale.
Donations of gently used linens and blankets, puppy and dog chow, kitten and cat chow and treats will be accepted.
