The following information was taken from Ashland Police Department reports:
Robbery
‰An Ohio man was charged with robbery Friday after he allegedly assaulted a J.C. Penney employee during the course of trying to steal $129 worth of merchandise from the store.
Adam L. Clifton, 24, of Franklin Furnace, was charged with second-degree robbery, menacing and disorderly conduct, according to the APD.
Clifton allegedly head-butted a Penney’s employee, threatened the employee and shouted obscenities at customers as he was being led out of the store by police. He was lodged in the Boyd County Detention Center.
Burglary
‰A resident of the 5200 block of Blackburn Avenue last week reported someone broke into his home and stole a TV, a camcorder and a knife.
‰A man living in the 2300 block of Boone Street on Sunday reported another man had broke into his house. It was not clear whether anything was stolen.
‰A man on Sunday reported aluminum siding and copper wire valued at $10,000 had been stolen from two of his vacant rental homes on Pollard Road.
Theft
‰A woman last week reported someone had stolen 14 blank checks from her and had used them to make $1,355 in fraudulent purchases from Walmart during a one-month period.
‰A man living in the 1700 block of Ester Street on Saturday reported the theft of a .22-caliber revolver valued at $200. The gun was later found to have been pawned.
Fugitive arrest
‰Police on Saturday arrested Shawn V. Bissitt, 35, of the 2200 block of Thomas Street, on a warrant charging him with being a fugitive from Cobb County, Ga. He was lodged in the Boyd County Detention Center.

Tickets for the final raffle to benefit the Northeast Kentucky American Red Cross are for sale and local officials hope there will be no empty seats for their only annual fundraiser.

A temporary 10-ton weight restriction is in effect on the Ben Williamson Memorial Bridge, which brings traffic from U.S. 52 into Ashland.
