ASHLAND — Business event Aug. 30 at JSF

ASHLAND - A free workshop titled “Six Steps to a Better Business — Climbing the Ladder of Growth” will be offered Aug. 30 by Morehead State University’s Ashland Small Business Development Center.

The event will be from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at the Jesse Stuart Foundation on the corner of 17th Street and Winchester Avenue. It will show participants how to grow a profitable business through the six: mastery, niche, leverage, team, synergy and results. Dave Beam of Action Coach Business Coaching will lead the seminar.

Seating is limited and advance registration is required.

‘Phantom’ auditions set

ASHLAND - Ashland Community and Technical College Theatre will have auditions for “The Phantom of the Opera” at 7 p.m. Monday and Tuesday in the J.B. Sowards Theatre.

Auditions are open to adults and high school and college students. Cast members must be able to attend rehearsals at 7 p.m. and work sessions on Saturdays.
