ASHLAND —
Mark Hannah of Ashland has a perfect product for anyone who wants to try a drug-free alternative to help increase energy and promote personal well being, while displaying their personal pride in hometown schools and teams.
“Once you try it, you will be amazed,” Hannah said as he demonstrated one of his Zedge Power Band products for a visitor last week.
As the owner of Unique Health Products LLC, Hannah, of Ashland, is an exclusive distributor for Zedge products, including power discs that can be applied to watches, cell phones and computers, as well as bracelets with the names of local schools and mascots stitched in. While statements about the products’ ability to improve strength, power, balance and endurance have not been evaluated by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, Hannah claims to have many satisfied customers.
The power of the products, he said, is a trade secret “that got out” and was marketed heavily by another company.
“They did all of the advertizing for us and they sold millions of them. We’re just getting started in Ashland,” he said, explaining he first learned of the products while at a patent attorney’s office. He heard a man talking about his revolutionary products and made a point of meeting the man before he lost the opportunity.
“When he was leaving I asked him if he wanted a partner,” Hannah said. “he is a genius of a guy, but he had no marketing experience.”
Hannah said he personally tested the man’s products and quickly became a believer.
“I’ve had 12 back surgeries and had to sleep on two ice packs for a year and a half. This guy gave me a band and asked me to try it. For about two weeks, my wife said, ‘Why aren’t you using your ice packs?’” he said. “I only take it off when I shower and now if I forget to to put it back on I will turn around and go put it back on because of my back pain.”
Hannah emphasized the Zedge products are not a cure, but can be a tool to help people cope with a variety of challenges.
Hannah said his company’s power bands are already being sold at Ashland Sporting Goods, complete with the names of local high schools and mascots, including “Ashland,” Tomcats,” Russell, Red Devils, “Ironton and Tigers stitched into the fabric.
All of the local schools around here — we do them all,” he said.
He said a local physical therapy company that specializes in work with athletes also provides the power bands to their clients as part of their recovery and training programs.
The power bands sell for $20, and Hannah offers a bulk discount for those who want to sell the bands to help raise funds for youth-related programs.
Anyone who wants to learn more about the technology utilized by the Zedge products is encouraged to research the merchandise by visiting zedgeperfromanceproducts.com on the Internet. Or, anyone who wants to purchase the products may call Hannah directly at (606) 465-2400.
