Ashland Police Department probes recent burglaries

ASHLAND — The following information was taken from Ashland Police Department reports:

Burglary

‰ Firearms and household goods with a combined value of $1,865 were reported stolen Friday in a break-in at a residence in the 4200 block of Gartrell Street.

‰ A man living in the 2100 block of Stephens Street reported Wednesday household goods valued at $1,060 were stolen in a burglary at his residence.

‰ A man living in the 2600 block of Riggles Street reported Tuesday someone broke into his house and stole $2,000 cash.

Theft

‰ Rite Aid, 1203 13th St., on Monday reported the theft of $280 cash.

‰ An Ashland woman reported Tuesday an article of clothing valued at $30 was stolen from her at King’s Daughters Medical Center.

Shoplift

‰ A man and a woman from Culloden, W.Va., were arrested Thursday at Wal-Mart for allegedly trying to steal merchandise valued at $499.

‰ A Boyd County woman was arrested Thursday after she allegedly attempted to steal items valued at $41.50 from Claire’s Boutique in the Ashland Town Center.

‰ Sheryl R. Logsdon, 39, of 200 block of 34th Street, was arrested Wednesday at J.C. Penney on a felony theft charge after she allegedly tried to shoplift merchandise valued at $596.
