PAINTSVILLE — Shelby County will visit Johnson Central tonight after high school football games in the Louisville area were cancelled this week because of ramifications from Hurricane Ike.
Jefferson County Public Schools cancelled all athletic events as Louisville recovers from Sunday's wind-related damage that has kept schools closed all week.
Johnson Central was scheduled to play at Louisville Shawnee and Shelby County also had a game in the Louisville area. The teams decided to meet since both of their games had been cancelled.
The Golden Eagles are 3-0 and coming off a 35-31 victory over Bryan Station last week.
Kickoff is 7:30 tonight in Paintsville.
