WESTWOOD — T.J. Shelton rushed for 100 yards and scored a pair of touchdowns as Fairview pounded Paris 35-13 in a Class A district game Friday night.
The Eagles improved to 4-1 overall and 2-1 in the district, rebounding nicely from a loss to rival Raceland last week.
Shelton had a 1-yard scoring run and then capped the scoring by hauling in a 57-yard touchdown pass from Matt Jones.
Jones rushed for 65 yards and completed 5 of 8 passes for 100 yards and two TDs.
Drew Boyd had 57 yards rushing and a touchdown.
Fairview plays Morgan County at home Friday night.

VERSAILLES Johnson Central rolled up 684 yards rushing and took control of the Class 5A district with a rout of Woodford County.
Chase Richardson and Nathan Dillon combined for nearly 500 yards rushing. The Golden Eagles improved to 5-0 overall and 2-0 in the district.
Johnson Central built a 40-20 lead at halftime in avenging last year’s regular-season loss to Woodford County.
