Through four tournaments Nick Blankenship nearly has four victories in the EKJGA Walmart Tour.
Blankenship has fallen just short twice — both in playoffs — including Friday at River Bend Golf Club.
Sam McGuire edged Blankenship in the grades 11-12 division on the third playoff hole after each took a 76 (6-over) into the clubhouse after 18.
Blankenship lost to former Ashland Blazer High School teammate Jeff Meade in a playoff on June 8 at Sandy Creek. The Tomcat senior-to-be won tournaments at both Green Meadow and Paintsville this month.
Haley Adams beat Haley Webb (grades 10-12) on the second playoff hole after each shot a round of 87 at River Bend.
The rest of the winners were: Gunner Cassity (boys grades 3-under); Bricen Thompson (boys grades 4-6); Roger Maynard III (boys grades 7-8); Thomas Hall (boys grades 9-10); Abby Thompson (girls grades 3-under); Madison Darnell (girls grades 4-6); and McKinzie Walters (girls grades 7-9).
