RIO GRANDE Boyd County earned its first win of the season on Saturday at Rio Grande University.
The Lions (1-2) beat Fairland, 69-66, as three starters hit double figures in scoring.
Austin Hunt scored 19 points on 6-of-12 shooting. Brandon Lowe notched 11 and Todd Stacy netted 10.
Boyd County hit eight 3-pointers. The Lions never trailed after the first quarter.

WESTWOOD Mackenzie Humphrey tallied 17 points and Brittany Bell added 10 as Fairview had no trouble disposing of Phelps on Saturday night at Fairview High School.
Fairview (3-2) led 24-12 by halftime. The Lady Eagles go to Greenup County on Monday.
Phelps was led by Katlin Norman’s 15 points.

WESTWOOD Raceland outscored Fairview 32-12 in the second half on its way to a 64-36 win on Friday night.
The Lady Rams were led by Krystal Keeton who picked up 22 points and had three 3-pointers in the game. She also had 15 rebounds.
Savannah Mackie added 13 for Raceland while Lacee Penix scored 10 for the Lady Rams.
Raceland got hot from the three-point line, scoring eight from behind the arc.
Fairview (2-2) had only one player in double figures in Brittany Bell, who scored 21 points.
Raceland moved to 2-3.
