James sensational as Lawrence crushes Shelby Valley

PIKEVILLE — For the second straight game, Lawrence County poured 70-plus points on an opponent.

The Bulldogs routed Shelby Valley, 75-14, on Friday night behind the fantastic rushing of Hunter James and Caleb Bentley.

James ran for 289 yards on 10 carries and caught two passes for 60 yards. He accounted for five touchdowns.

Bentley carried seven times for 100 yards and caught two balls for 62 yards. He had three touchdowns.

Hayden Kiser was 4 of 6 passing for 122 yards, including three touchdowns.

Jacob Marcum tallied 84 yards on the ground as he added two scores.

In total, Lawrence County accumulated 481 yards on 28 carries.

The Bulldogs (2-0) host East Ridge on Friday.
