East Carter and West Carter steered clear of any surprises in the 62nd District Tournament opening round on Wednesday night.
The top-seeded Lady Raiders and Lady Comets will meet with the title on the line on Friday night at 7 at Harold Holbrook Athletic Complex East.
Both teams shot out to huge leads against their first-round foes. East Carter smashed Elliott County, 73-42, and West Carter cruised past Morgan County, 50-34.
Haley Hall came off the bench to lead the Lady Raiders (23-7) with 15 points. Kristen Mayo and Megan Stickler added 10 apiece as 12 total players scored for East Carter.
Elliott County (8-20) got 18 points from Ashley Holbrook and 14 from Samantha Worthington.
Brooke Callihan rolled up 25 points for West Carter (12-16).
Cheyenna Ferguson notched a team-high 11 points for Morgan County (7-21).
East Carter beat West Carter in both regular-season meetings, 53-27 and 60-21.
