16th Region girls pairings set

MOREHEAD — First-round pairings for the girls 16th Region basketball tournament were set Saturday morning.

All four first-round games will be played March 2 at Ellis T. Johnson Arena.

The first two games, at noon and 2 p.m., will have Fleming County-Boyd County and Russell-West Carter. The night session, at 6 and 8, match East Carter-Lewis County and Ashland-Rowan County.

Semifinal games will be March 4 and the finals March 5.

Ashland is the defending champion.
