Drema Duley - 1938-2012

CATLETTSBURG — Drema Katherine Applegate Duley, 74, of Catlettsburg, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2012, in Wurtland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Ms. Duley was born Jan. 26, 1938. in Beckley, W.Va., the daughter of the late Howard and Gladys Mann Applegate.

Drema was the owner of Catlettsburg Giovanni’s from 1976 until 1987, and worked for Shoney’s until 2007. She loved fishing with her best friend, Patty Caudill, and was a member of Burnaugh Baptist Church.

Drema is survived by her daughters, Cindy Jackson of Catlettsburg and Melissa Workman of Ashland; grandsons Bryan Antony Newman (Rebecca) of Russell and Bradley Reed of Ashland; and great-grandsons Andrew Russell Newman and Aiden Carter Newman.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters Bonnie Coburn and Mona Tipton.

At the family’s request, funeral services will be private.

Calling hours for Ms. Duley will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today, Aug. 10, 2012, at Neal Funeral Home in Catlettsburg.
