David Miller (1961-2009)
Linn David Miller, 48, of Ashland, passed away early Sunday morning, June 7, 2009, at his home.
Mr. Miller was born May 21, 1961, in Ashland, a son of Mary Hudson Miller of Ashland, and the late John R. Miller. He graduated with the Boyd County High School Class of ’79, attended Ashland Community College, served the Commonwealth of Kentucky with the National Guard 201st Engineering Battalion, and was an independent contractor.
Along with his mother, David leaves behind a son, John David “J.D.” Miller, of Ashland; one daughter, Tara Nicole Miller Davis, of Catlettsburg; a brother, Michael (G.G.) Miller, of Olive Hill; three sisters, Donna (Dennis) Stephens, of Olive Hill, Johnda (Mark) Stambaugh, of Ashland, Ann (David) Pierce, of Flatwoods; his fiancé, Sheila Daniels, and her son Patrick; two granddaughters, Leslie McKay Miller and Destiny Nicole Davis; six nieces and six nephews.
A funeral service of remembrance will be held 2 p.m. on Wednesday, June 10, 2009, at the Neal Funeral Home in Catlettsburg. A message of hope and inspiration will be offered by Brother Michael Greene. Final rest to follow a solemn committal at Catlettsburg Cemetery.

Hazel LeMaster (1914-2009)
Hazel M. Lowder LeMaster, 94, of Garrison, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 6, 2009, at Hill View Retirement Center in Portsmouth.
She was born Sept. 23, 1914, in Quincy, the daughter of the late Jasper D. and Lillie Howland Lowder. She was a lifelong member of Quincy Church of Christ. She retired from Williams Shoe Factory in Portsmouth.
She is survived by a daughter, Sylvia Sue Wilson of Erlanger; eight sons, Edgar Sterling (Jan) LeMaster of Vero Beach, Fla., Ronald B. (Connie) LeMaster of Garrison, Michael A. (Sandy) LeMaster of Englewood, Fla., Harry A. (Barbara) LeMaster of Marietta, Ohio, Dr. Phillip W. (Teresa) LeMaster of Antioch, Tenn., Rowland D. (Deborah) LeMaster of Washington Court House, Ohio, Joseph L. (Mella) LeMaster of Quincy and Terry T. (Lisa) LeMaster of Garrison.
Also surviving are a brother, Dorsel H. (Helen) Lowder of South Shore; 34 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry E. “Ned” LeMaster; a daughter, Constance LeMaster; a sister, Clementine Wilson; and brothers Rowland O. Lowder, Thurmond B. Lowder and Jasper D. Lowder Jr.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Quincy Church of Christ in Quincy with Dr. Phillip W. LeMaster officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Cemetery in Quincy.

Phillip Salyer
Phillip Salyer, 55, of Ashland, died Monday at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland.
His wife, Tammy Salyer, survives.

Lloyd Thomas Felty (1929-2009)
Lloyd Thomas Felty, 79, of Hopewell, died Sunday at Wurtland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Wurtland.
Mr. Felty was born Sept. 14, 1929.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Norris Cemetery in Hopewell.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hopewell United Methodist Church to help with funeral expenses.

Richard W. Vassar, 85, of South Shore, died Monday in South Shore Health and Rehab Center.
Mr. Vassar was born April 13, 1924, and was the husband of Esther Carver Vassar.

Tilda Mae Martin, 72, of Greenup, died Sunday at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland.
Mrs. Martin was born Feb. 3, 1937, and was the widow of Arthur Martin.
