Virginia Eileen Halley, 89, of Palm Coast, Fla., formerly of Ashland, passed away Wednesday morning, July 21, 2010, at Coguing Center in Palm Coast. She was born March 2, 1921, in Ashland, Ky., daughter of the late James Arthur and Nancy Elizabeth Terry Greene and wife of the late Philip Edward Halley. She was a member of Eastern Star, White Shrine and First Presbyterian Church in Ashland.
Left behind is Eileen’s family, a son, Phil Halley and his wife Beverly of Palm Coast; grandchildren, Philip E. Halley and his wife Mickey of St. Augustine, Fla. and Elizabeth Paige Cox and her husband Jody of Jacksonville Beach, Fla.; great-grandchildren, Devon Noske and Dale Noske; and brothers, James Greene of Kentucky and Dutch Greene (Ann) of Virginia; and a sister, Phyllis Mondou (Millard) of Hilliard, Ohio.
Eileen was also preceded in death by her sister, Maragarite Greene.
Committal services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, July 26, 2010, at Rose Hill Burial Park Mausoleum. Brother Phil Richardson will offer comforting words.
