SANDY HOOK —
Wanda Easter Oliver, 78, of Sandy Hook, passed away at the home of her daughter at Rockmont, Ga., Dec. 31, 2012.
Wanda was born April 1, 1934, in Newcombe, the daughter of the late David and Opal Ratcliff Adkins.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Vinson Oliver; a son, David Robert Oliver; as well as siblings, Dr. Brown L. Adkins, Clarence B. Adkins, and Thelma L. Adkins.
Wanda was a retired librarian, Elliott County Treasurer as well as a beautician. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
She is survived by a son, Ronald V. Oliver of Morehead; three daughters, Victoria Lynn Hargraves of Sandy Hook, Wanda Sue Groves of Rockmont, Ga., Edith Ann Rife of Dallas, Ga.; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Regina Knox of Centerville, Ohio, and Roma Cook of Franklin, Ohio.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday with Brother Warren Vanover officiating at the Lewis & Ferguson Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Elliott County Memory Gardens.
Friends may call after 6 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
