LEXINGTON —
Trudy “Gertrude” Dietrich Barker, 68, passed away peacefully at home in Lexington on Sunday morning, Feb. 3, 2013, the birthday of her beloved deceased older brother, Harry.
She was born March 18, 1944, in Goblenz, Sudetenland, to the late Rhinehart Dietrich and Louise Dietrich Riekert, age 89, who survives her daughter.
Trudy is also survived by her husband, Randy; daughters Gretchen Anne and Heidi Dietrich Nolty (Ryan); grandson Zachary Cole Nalley; granddaughter Emma Claire Nolty; brother Henry Riekert Jr. (Nan); sister-in-law Sue Dietrich; and six nephews.
Trudy was the stepdaughter of the late Henry Riekert of Ashland.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home–Harrodsburg Road in Lexington. A committal service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Rose Hill Burial Park in Ashland.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to Hospice of the Bluegrass, 2312 Alexandria Drive, Lexington, KY 40504 or the Lexington Humane Society, 1600 Old Frankfort Pike, Lexington, KY 40504.
