Lorine Crisp Elliott

DELAND, FL — Lorine Crisp Elliott of DeLand, Fla., went to be with the Lord on Oct. 6, 2012, at the age of 69.  

She went in complete peace with her good friend, Cindy Richards, and her nieces, Rebecca and Elizabeth, by her side.  

Lorine was preceded in death by her husband and best friend, Ernest Elliott; her father, Virgil Grant Crisp; and her brother, Robert Crisp.  

Surviving family members include her mother, Merkie Crisp of Durbin; her brother, Ray Crisp of Durbin; her sister, Phyllis Moore of Huntington, W.Va.; and a brother-in-law, Marc Moore. Her Aunt Lilly, who was like her second mom, her Aunt Minnie, her Aunt Marjorie and all her nieces and nephews also survive her, as well as many great friends.  

Lorine was a retired registered nurse who worked in surgery throughout most of her career and worked as a nurse at a prison in her later years. She was a very giving and generous person who dearly loved dogs, as noted by all who knew her.

A memorial service will be at 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012, at Catlettsburg Southside Church of the Nazarene. Lorine’s nephew, Marc Moore, will speak.
