Everett “Butch” Hall - 1940-2012

ASHLAND — Everett “Butch” Hall, 72, was called into God’s kingdom on Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2012, in Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland.

Butch was born May 1, 1940, in Ashland, a son of the late William and Lucy Mae Stephens Hall. He was also preceded in death by three children, Everett “Butchie” Hall Jr., Debra Lynn Hall Childers and Tammy Rene Hall Ellis.

He was married to his lifetime sweetheart, Ramona “Sue” Reffitt Hall on Feb. 14, 1958. They shared 54 years of wedded bliss and together they raised seven children. Mr. Hall was laborer for the C&O Railroad. He also worked at the former tannery in Ashland and Guardian Glass in Texas.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Katrina “Lucy Mae” Hall Knowles, Timothy Allen “Tim” Hall and his wife, Georgia, Anthony Wayne “Tony” Hall and Mikael Ray Hall; sisters and brothers Gloria Calhoun of Grayson, Shirley Dixon, Marilyn Moore, Loenia Crawford, Tasha Hall, Kemo Hall and Darrell Hall and his wife, Mary, all of Ashland. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012, at Steen Funeral Home-13th Street Chapel in Ashland by Pastor Don McKenzie. Burial will be in Ashland Cemetery.

Visitation for family and friends will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
