LEXINGTON —
Jacqueline Waugh Steele Kirby, 86, of Lexington, formerly of Ashland, died Sunday, July 1, 2012, in Hospice Care Center-St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington.
She was born Nov. 19, 1925, in Ashland, the daughter of the late Clifford Stanley “Jack” and Ella Brown Waugh.
She was a homemaker and former member of Ashland First United Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by husbands William Lee Steele and Frank “Duke” Kirby and a sister, Betty Downard.
She is survived by a son, Brock Steele of Louisville.
A graveside service and burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 5, 2012, at Ashland Cemetery by the Rev. David Cordial. There will be no visitation.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Hospice of the Bluegrass, 2312 Alexandria Drive, Lexington, KY 40504.
Miller Funeral Home in Ashland is in charge of arrangements.
