Willard F. Millhouse Jr. - 1936-2010
Willard F. Millhouse Jr., of Raceland, Ky., went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 8, 2010, in Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Ky.
Mr. Millhouse was born April 30, 1936, in Ironton, Ohio. He was one of 12 children born to the late Willard Millhouse Sr. and Edith Gilmore Millhouse. He was also preceded in death by his first wife of 45 years, Mary Ellen Millhouse; his daughter, Connie R. Dodd; his son, Tim W. Millhouse; and his siblings, Henry, Roberta, Thelma, Charles, Harley, Philip and Robert.
He was a retired supervisor for Delta Faucet Co. in Oklahoma and a U.S. veteran. Mr. Millhouse was a loving man and would always help friend, family or a complete stranger.
Surviving are his loving wife, Eva Smith Millhouse; his son and loving daughter-in-law, Lee W. Millhouse and Cynthia A. Millhouse; his stepsons, Joe and Jim Coyle and Arthur and Shady Millhouse; and his stepdaughters, Sharon Anderson, Judy Barton, Nancy Millhouse and Charlotte Novack.
He is survived by four granddaughters, multiple stepgrandchildren and great-grandchildren and loving nieces and nephews.
Also surviving are his siblings, Dorothy, Carl, Clyde and his wife, Debbie, and Don and his wife Bonnie, who was his “Best Buddy,” and a sister-in-law, Nancy.
The family is requesting donations be made to the American Cancer Society in the name of Willard F. Millhouse Jr. as Mr. Millhouse, his late wife and many of his friends and family have been affected by the disease.
The family of Lee Millhouse would also like to thank Community Hospice Care Center and Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital for their wonderful care and kind hearts.
William R. Sargent Sr.
William Raymond Sargent Sr., 80, of Tallahassee, Fla., went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 10.
Bill was originally from Morehead, Ky. He was preceded in death by his mother, Grace Black Benteen; his stepfather, Dr. H.D. Benteen of Ashland, Ky.; and his sister, Catherine Conley of Greenup, Ky.
Bill joined the U.S. Army in 1948 and fought in the Korean War until his honorable discharge in 1951. He was awarded the Silver Star, Bronze Star, Combat Infantryman Badge and Korean Service Medal with three Bronze Stars. After the war, Bill worked for several major contractors building power plants and was the head superintendent over the pipefitters, carpenters and laborers.
Bill is survived by his wife, the former Juanita Pennington, and his three children, son Bill Jr. and wife Paula of Tampa, son Brian and wife Elizabeth of Tallahasse and daughter Sheila and husband Kelly Gowen of Akron, Ohio. He also had seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 13, 2010, at Culley’s Meadowwood Funeral Home on Timberlane Road in Tallahassee.
Visitors may call an hour before services at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Meadowwood Memorial Park.
Ralph Davis
Ralph Calvin Davis, 85, of Decatur, Ga., formerly of Ashland, died Wednesday at his residence.
His wife, Mary Lou Davis, survives.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Steen Funeral Home-Central Avenue Chapel in Ashland. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park in Ashland.

Homer Franklin Lowe, 85, of Olive Hill, died Wednesday in Mifflin Care Center in Mansfield, Ohio.
He was born March 25, 1924, in Carter County.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill. Burial will be in Lowe Family Cemetery in Olive Hill, with military rites by Olive Hill American Legion Post 138.
