WEST UNION, S.C. —
Larry Charles Evans of West Union, S.C. passed away Feb. 15, 2013.
He was the husband and best friend of Tana C. Barker Evans.
Larry was born in Kentucky July 16, 1945, to parents Charles Wesley Evans and Lillie Stapleton Evans.
After leaving the Navy, Larry worked and retired from Duke Power Nuclear Station after 29 years.
Larry is survived by his wife, Tana; and two sons, Brent Wesley Evans and wife Ruthann of Baltimore, Md., and Larry Charles Evans Jr. and wife Julie of Seneca, S.C.; granddaughters, Andrea Morgan Evans Jones and husband, Matt of Anderson, S.C., Stephanie Monica Merrill of Baltimore; a great-grandson, Finley A. Jones of Anderson; and sister, Anita K. Griffith and husband Larry W. of Ashland.
He was preceded in death by his parents and granddaughter, Kylie Miranda Evans.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 18, 2013, at the Davenport Funeral Home Chapel in South Carolina with burial to follow in Oconee Memorial Park.
