FINDLAY, OHIO —
Wayne Holbrook, 85, of Findlay, Ohio, passed away Friday, Dec. 7, 2012, in Birchaven Village.
Wayne was born Nov. 13, 1927, in Ashland, to Walter and Della Barker Holbrook.
Wayne retired in 1971 from the Alpha-Portland Cement Co. after 22 years of service. Wayne went on to work for National Mine Service Co. for 12 years. Wayne was a member of Catlettsburg Church of the Nazarene for 32 years and First Church of the Nazarene in Findlay for two years. Wayne was a knife collector and had a great passion for gardening.
Wayne is survived by his wife of 59 years, Evelyn Robinson Holbrook; a daughter, Debbie (Randy) Daniels; grandchildren Brandon (Sonja) Daniels and Lauren Daniels; brothers Burl and Donald (Carol) Holbrook; and a sister, Wanda Payne. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Carl and Johnny; and a sister, Dorothy.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Catlettsburg Church of the Nazarene in Catlettsburg. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park in Ashland.
Visitation will be an hour before services at the church.
Hufford Family Funeral Home, 1500 Manor Hill Road, Findlay (419) 422-1500 is in charge of arrangements.
