ASHLAND —
Clotine Brainard Wilburn, 90, of Rush, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2012, in Carter Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born March 1, 1922, in Boyd County, a daughter of the late Hobert and Lillie Hensley Brainard.
Clotine attended Music Chapel, was a life time member of the D.A.V. and American Ex-Prisoners of War.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Wilburn; sons, John Paul Wilburn and Homer Wilburn; sisters, Lou Tish Elliott, Anna Sexton, Helen Hutchinson, and Ella Faye Brainard; brothers, Bernard Brainard, Theodore “Dick” Brainard, William Brainard, George Brainard, Homer Brainard and Tom Brainard; and one son-in-law, Ishmael Sturgill.
Her survivors include two daughters, Jo Ann (Bobby) Fannin of Rush and Betty Lou Sturgill of Catlettsburg; three sons, Charles R. (Deloras) Wilburn of Grayson, James O. (Bonnie) Wilburn of Grayson and Gregory (Shannon) Wilburn of Grayson; sister, Norma Moore of New Lexington, Ohio; 23 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 7, at Malone Funeral Home in Grayson with Brother Fred Wiles and Brother Don Barker officiating. Burial will be in the Cribbs Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
