OLIVE HILL — Phyllis Blankenship Crank, age 78, of Olive Hill, Ky., went home to be with the Lord on Friday evening, July 30, 2010, in King’s Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Ky. Mrs. Crank was born Aug. 24, 1931, in Carter County, Ky., a daughter of Henry and Parthena Tackett Blankenship.

She was preceded in death by two daughters, Pam Crank and one infant daughter; two brothers, Ernest Blankenship and Gilbert Blankenship; 6 sisters, Vivian Hickman, Mescel Waddell Morman, Violet Blankenship and three infant siblings.

Phyllis was of the Pentecostal faith, she also was a Homemaker, a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Odis Crank; three sons and daughters-in-law, Stephen and Debbie Crank of Minford, Ohio, Rock and Francis Crank of Maysville, Ky. and Rick and Mary Jane Crank of Morehead, Ky.; three daughters and sons-in-law, Ramona Crank, Teresa and James Robinson and Rita and Jerry Cox all of Olive Hill, Ky.; 9 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She also leaves several family members, church family and friends who will sadly mourn her passing.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 3, 2010, at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill, Ky., with Brother Daniel Long officiating. Burial will follow in the Tackett Cemetery in Olive Hill, Ky.

Friends may call after 4 p.m. Monday, Aug. 2, 2010, and until the service hour Tuesday at the funeral chapel.

Owen Crank, Blake Crank, Jason Robinson, Danny Crank, Nathan Cox, Joseph Crank and Dwight Crank will serve as pallbearers.
