SOLDIER —
Mr. Billy Ray Hall, age 59, of Soldier, passed away Tuesday morning, Nov. 20, 2012, in St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead.
He was born Aug. 17, 1953, in Grayson, a son of the late George Jackson Hall and the late Jewell Flannery Hall.
Billy was a dock manager for R & D Associates in Catlettsburg. He enjoyed farming, watching NASCAR and the sports center. His greatest joy in life was his children and grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, infant Ralph Hall and Daniel Jackson Hall.
Billy is survived by his wife of 28 years, Shelia Baker Hall; one son and daughter-in-law, Christopher Michael and Lalona Hall of Olive Hill; two daughters, Stephanie LaRae Hall of Olive Hill and Monica Hall of Texas; one grandson, Jordan Xavier Richmond of Olive Hill; one granddaughter, Harper Leigh Hall of Olive Hill; two brothers, Louis Hall and Barry Hall, both of Olive Hill; one sister and brother-in-law, Brenda and Randy Hardin of Olive Hill; and two half sisters, Pilar Ruth Hall Bouns of La Puente, Calif., and Lillian Hall Avad of Australia. He also leaves many other family members and friends who sadly mourn his passing.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 25, 2012, at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill, with Brother, David Rayburn and Brother Rex Sagraves officiating. Burial will follow in the Baker Cemetery on James Chapel Road in Olive Hill.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012, and until the service hour at 2 p.m. on Sunday at Globe Funeral Chapel.
Craig Rayburn, Nick Rayburn, Ryan Rayburn, Derek Hensley, Scott Hardin, Roger Rayburn, Gerald Porter and Nathan Plank will serve as pallbearers.
