Geraldine “Gerry” Madden Bradley 1927-2012

CARTER — Mrs. Geraldine “Gerry” Madden Bradley, 84, of Grayson, passed away Sunday afternoon, Dec. 2, 2012, at her residence.

She was born Dec. 17, 1927, in Carter County, a daughter of the late Cleff and Laura Jane Jones Madden.

Gerry was a member of Bowen Chapel Freewill Baptist Church and was a homemaker. She enjoyed going to church and spending time with her family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Harold Lloyd Bradley; a brother, Fred Edwin Madden; and two sisters, Diana Kay Madden and Chloe Jean Madden Butler.

Gerry is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Susan Bradley of Newark, Del., and James and Patricia Bradley of Robbinsville, N.J.; four grandchildren, Andrea Bradley, Diana Estrello, Laura Bradley and Jimmy Bradley; two great-grandchildren, Nathan Estrello and Joel Estrello; six sisters and five brothers-in-law, Corrine Bauman of St. Cloud, Fla., Jeanette and Leon Tabor, Frances Louise Gorman, Lois Ann and Tom Vestal and Linda Sue and Wilbur Cross, all of New Castle, Ind., and Betty Jo and Bill Chace and Robert “Bobby” Butler, all of St. Cloud; a sister-in-law, Gay Madden of Russell; and several nieces and nephews. Gerry also leaves many other family members, church family, neighbors and friends who will sadly miss her.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 7, 2012, at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill by Brother Leon Tabor and Brother Dale Richmond. Burial will be in Richards Cemetery on Dry Branch in Olive Hill.

Friends may visit from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 6, 2012, and until the services Friday at the funeral home, 17277 W. U.S. 60, Olive Hill, KY 41164.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Bowen Chapel Freewill Baptist Church.
