Reece Trimble (1934-2009)
Reece Kenyon Trimble, of Rush, Ky., now rests with the Lord after his passing early Saturday morning, Sept. 19, 2009, from Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital.
Mr. Trimble was 75 years of age, born Jan. 4, 1934, a son of the late William Wallace and Rhena Mae Rice Trimble. He was the former owner of Hillbilly Auto Parts, loved old-time machinery and antique cars and was a member of Garrett Chapel Methodist Church.
Reece is survived by his wife of 37 years, Linda Lou Ferrell Trimble; a son, Brian Scott Trimble of Rush, Ky.; a daughter, Andrea Dawn Bostick her husband, Christopher, of Ashland, Ky.; and a sister, Reona Mae Trimble of Rush, Ky.
Preceding in death is a brother, William Francis Trimble.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2009, at Kilgore & Collier Funeral Home on Panola Street in Catlettsburg. A message of comfort will be offered by Brother David Trimble, with a heartfelt personal eulogy given by Brother Jeff Ferguson. Final rest will follow a committal at Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens in Ashland, Ky. Serving as casket bearers will be Brian Trimble, Chris Nolen, Robert Ferrell, Paul David Ferrell, Charles Ferrell and Kyle Call.

Cas Cordle (1925-2009)
Cas L. Cordle, 84, of Ashland, Ky., went home to be with the Lord Saturday, Sept. 19, 2009, after his passing from Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Ky.
Mr. Cordle was born Sept. 5, 1925, in Cordell, Ky., a son of the late Winfred and Fonda Sagraves Cordle. He served honorably and faithfully with the United States Navy during World War II, receiving two Bronze Stars for his service. Cas retired from Sement Solvay, later working as a self employed sales representative. He was also a member of Burnaugh Baptist Church, Hampton Masonic Lodge 235 F&AM;, American Legion Post 93, Odd Fellow 142 and Am Vets Post 87. Cas loved fishing and the outdoors.
Surviving is a loving family, including his wife of 54 years, Ernestine “Teen” Dials Cordle; a daughter, Fernanda Hensley and her husband, John, of Gallatin, Tenn.; two sisters-in-law, Shirley Stapleton of Ashland and Maxine Cole of Ceredo, W.Va.; two grandchildren, Tara Hensley, John D. Hensley and his wife Pierce; a great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Rose Hensley; and a very special friend, who was like a son to him, Gary Preece.
Preceding in death were three brothers, Clarence Cordle, Fred Cordle and Joe Allen Cole.
A funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2009, at Neal Funeral Home on Center Street in Catlettsburg. Pastor Pete Miller and Pastor Dave Kerr will officiate. Committal will be in Catlettsburg Cemetery. Serving as casket bearers will be Benny Preece, Gary Preece, John Hensley, J. D. Hensley, Leo Zornes and Bud Scott.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. There will be a Hampton Masonic Lodge #235 service at 7 p.m.
Orville Henderson (1917-2009)
Orville O. Henderson, 92, of Ashland Ky., died Sept. 19, 2009, in Woodland Oaks Health Care Facility. He was born March 26, 1917, in Somerset, Pa. to the late George and Claire Peterson Henderson. He retired after 42 years of service as an electrical engineer and district supervisor for Kentucky Power Co. He was a member of Beech Street Christian Church and a former member of the Ashland Lions Club, Roadrunners Club and Elks BPO 350.
His wife, Bette D. Green Henderson of Ashland, survives. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elzie R. Henderson, in 2000.
He is also survived by a daughter, Anita Howard and husband Joe of Barboursville, W.Va.; a brother, Ray Henderson of Fairmont, W.Va.; a sister, Darryl Cribbs of Silver Springs, Md.; grandchildren Kimberly Horsley and husband Mark of Clayton, N.C., and Joseph Keith Howard and wife Joy of Lake Ridge, Va.; and two great-grandchildren, Joshua and Alicia Howard.
Funeral services will take place at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2009, at Steen Funeral Home 13th Street Chapel. Minister Kenneth Vaughn will officiate. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park.

Arnold Williams (1939-2009)
Arnold Eugene Williams, 70, of Ashland, Ky., died at 2:33 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, 2009, in King’s Daughters Medical Center.
He was born Aug. 16, 1939, to the late Arnold Williams and Hattie Reeves. He was employed by Teamsters Local 505 and was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his wife Paulette Helms Williams; a brother, Jack Reeves; a sister, Judy Sally; and many nieces, nephews and friends who will greatly miss him. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving son, Johnny Paul Williams.
There will be a graveside service at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2009, at Golden Oaks Memorial Gardens. There will be no visitation. Lazear Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Dora Constiner
Dora V. Constiner, age 98, died Friday, Sept. 18, 2009, in Villa Springs Care Center in Erlanger. Her husband William Douglas Constiner preceded her in death.
She is survived by two sons, Wm. W. Green III of Buena Park, Calif., and Michael L. Green of Scott Depot, W.Va.; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from noon to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2009, with a service following at Linnemann Family Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Burlington. Burial will be in Floral Hills Memorial Park.

Opal Barker (1929-2009)
Mrs. Opal Marie Shelton Barker, 80, of Pedro, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, Sept. 19, 2009.
She was born June 4, 1929, in Ashland, Ky., the daughter of the late Albert and Goldie Shelton.
She was a faithful member of the First United Methodist Church in Ironton, where she was a member of the choir. Opal was also a member of the Lawrence County Garden Club and the Lawrence County Homemakers Club. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters; Leodia Easterling and Clemitine Jay Shenault; a brother, Bernard Shelton; and a nephew, Eddie Shelton.
Opal is survived by her loving husband, Hardy Barker, whom she married on July 5, 1953; daughter and son-in-law, Chela and David Burd of Pedro; two sons and daughters-in-law, Hardy Jr. and Tammy Barker of Pedro and Terry and Debbie Barker of Pedro; grandchildren, Tony and Kate Barker of Ironton, Bridgette and Wes Conley of Covington, Ky., and Jason and Melissa Barker of Pedro; and great-grandchild Lanie Conley of Covington.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2009, at Tracy Brammer Funeral Home in Ironton, Ohio, with Dr. William Young officiating. Interment will fbe in Dixon Cemetery.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
Bethalene Thompson (1935-2009)
Bethalene Thompson, 73, of Barboursville went home to be with her Lord on Friday, Sept. 18, 2009, at her residence.
She was born Dec. 22, 1935, in Putnam County, a daughter of the late Clyde and Bertha Martin Parkins. She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Richard R. Thompson; a daughter, Deborah Sonya Hennecke and husband Charles; a son, Donald “Ritchie” Thompson and wife Karen; two sisters, Dorma Meadows and Norene Clark; a brother, Oral Parkins; three grandchildren, Renee Rose and husband Billy, Ashley Thompson and Corey Thompson; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2009, at Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel in Barboursville, with David Gladwell officiating. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens in Barboursville.
